BANCA IP LAW FIRM – PATENT HIRING

Banca IP Law Firm, one of the first leading IP firm in Vietnam, is seeking two qualified candidates to join our team in Hanoi, for position of patent consultants. This position will be part of our team of attorneys, paralegals and support staff providing a high level of service to both internal and external clients.

Job Description:

• Conducting patent searches to assess patentability and infringement risks of client’s patent;
• Translating patent specifications from English to Vietnamese;
• Reviewing and providing pre-filing advice to clients before submitting patent applications;
• Drafting and preparing patent applications, including specifications, claims, and drawings, based on inventor disclosures, technical documents, and patentability assessments, ensuring compliance with patent laws and regulations;
• Prosecuting patent applications before the Intellectual Property Office of Vietnam (IPVN), including responding to office actions, taking oppositions/ cancellations/ invalidations, assignment and licensing, paying annuity, performing change recordal procedures, drafting appeal request and other related matters to secure patent grants for clients;
• Performing other necessary tasks related to patent prosecution matters.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, mechanics, electronics and telecommunications; an additional Law Degree is preferable;
• Fluency in English communication and excellent writing skills, especially good skills in translating technical documents;
• Proficient in office software: Word, Excel, common software and Internet;
• No working experience required;

Salary & Benefit:

• Salary from US$500-1500++ (subject to qualifications and experience);
