Market Surveillance Department of Hanoi has just cooperated with the Police Department on investigation of economic crimes, corruption, and smuggling (C03 of Ministry of Public Security) to inspect and detect large quantities of counterfeits in Hanoi.
To obtain the best result in their investigation, the Market Surveillance Department of Hanoi has appointed the Market Surveillance and Anti-smuggling Team No. 1 to coordinate in analyzing information on counterfeit business activities in Hanoi. They have checked 04 business facilities including (1) Business premises, address: 9B lane 35/76 An Duong street, Tay Ho district, Hanoi; (2) XD Shop 166, address: 1C6, lane 278 Thái Hà street, Dong Da district, Hanoi; (3) 200.Wb shop, address: No. 59 Nam Ngu Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi; (4) GVNXK Shop, address: C1-122A Tran Tu Binh Street, Cau Giay District, Hanoi.
After checking, the competent authorities have discovered that these businesses are trading 2,226 pairs of shoes (with packaging) bearing counterfeit signs against protected trademarks including Nike, Adidas, Converse, Van, Tomy, Zara, Fila.
Currently, the Market Surveillance Department of Hanoi and the Market Surveillance and Anti-smuggling Team No.1, are in collaboration with C03 of Ministry of Public Security, to verify and clarify the trademarks’ owners in Vietnam and handle violations according to laws and regulations.
