Seizure of 14,000 packages counterfeiting trademark Knorr in Lang Son province

At the time of inspection, the competent authorities discovered 1,080 scarves bearing counterfeit trademark Louis Vuitton and 14,000 packages bearing counterfeit trademark Knorr.

The Market Surveillance Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) said that recently, the Market Surveillance force in collaboration with Team No. 389 of Lang Son province conducted a raid action on five passenger-cars that are transporting imported goods which originated from foreign countries.

To be clearer, Mr. Duong Cong Thang, owner of a car bearing signboard No. BKS 29B-618.86 was transporting 8 types of goods produced by Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien, whose address is Tan Thanh commune, Van Lang district, Lang Son province, with the total cost of 84.3 million VND; Mr. Vu Duc Thanh, owner of a car bearing signboard No. BKS 98B-027.40, was transporting goods sold by Mrs. Le Thi Hong, who is also in Tan Thanh commune, with its total cost of 75.5 million VND; Mr. Nguyen Ba Nghia, owner of a car bearing signboard No. BKS 29B-401.37 was transporting goods sold by Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Giang, in Dong Dang Town, Cao Loc District, Lang Son Province, with the total cost of 78.1 million VND.

Conducting an actual inventory of goods in the three cars mentioned above against the sales invoice presented by the drivers, the competent authorities found that the goods showed signs of illegally imported goods.

Continuing to check the car bearing signboard No. BKS 12B-004.20, owned by Hoang Duc Cong, is transporting 10 types of goods operated by Ms. Pham Bich Ngoc, in Dong Dang Town, Cao Loc District, Lang Son Province, with a value of 72.9 million VND. When compared with the invoices, only 9 types of goods were matched. In addition, the car also transported 1,080 scarves bearing trademark Louis Vuitton without invoices and documents proving legal origin, which are considered as counterfeit trademark goods.

Mr. Dang Van Cuong, owned a car with signboard No. BKS 29D-526.18 is transporting goods sold by Ms. Loc Minh Vuong, Dong Dang Town, with a total value of 75.5 million VND. Through inspection, only 11 types of goods have actual quantities and categories which match the goods shown as in the invoice. In addition, the competent authorities detected that in this vehicle, there are 14,000 170-gram packages bearing Knorr trademark. The above packages do not have invoices and documents proving their origin, showing signs of counterfeit packages.

The Market Surveillance Team No. 2 has made minutes on the temporary seizure of all goods, vehicles, and sales invoices of all five above-mentioned cases to verify details and clarify violations of related individuals.
