Filing Requirements in Vietnam

I. Required Information of Applicants

1. Full name and address of the applicant.

2. Model of the mark under application;

3. Colour(s) of the mark (if protection of such colour is also sought);

4. Description of the mark;

5. Translation of the word mark into English, if the mark is in any other language than English or French;

6. Goods and/or services (in accordance with WIPO’s International Classification); please indicate the goods/services of interest;

7. International class(es);

8. Convention priority: Application No., Filing Date, Country.

II. Required Documents

A – Filing New Application

– A Power of Attorney signed by the applicant without notarization or legalization [Download]

– Ten (10) prints of the trademark on durable and smooth paper which must be within five (5) and eight (8) centimeters either in width or in length;

– A certified copy of the priority document if priority right is claimed;

– If the documents made in any other language than English or French, translation into English by sworn translation is compulsory.

B – Renewal

– A Power of Attorney signed by the applicant without notarization or legalization [Download]

– Original Certificate of Trademark Registration if the applicant wished to record the renew notice on the certificate, otherwise this document is not required.

C – Change of Name and Address

– A Power of Attorney signed by the applicant without notarization or legalization [Download]

– Notarized legal documents or certified copy of Commercial Registry showing the change

– Original Certificate of Trademark Registration

D – Obtain Duplicate of the Certificate

– A Power of Attorney signed by the applicant without notarization or legalization [Download]

– 10 specimens (8×8 centimeters)

Note

– Multi-class application is accepted in Vietnam.

Filing Requirements in Laos

I. Required Information of Applicants

1. Name of the applicant

2. Full address of the applicant;

3. Model of the mark under application;

4. Color(s) of the mark (if protection of such color is also sought);

5. Description of the mark;

6. Goods and/or services (in accordance with WIPO’s International Classification); please indicate the goods/services of interest;

7. International class(es);

8. Convention priority: Application No., Filing Date, Country.

II. Required Documents

A – Filing New Application

– A Power of Attorney signed by the applicant without notarization or legalization [Download]

– Fifteen (15) prints of the trademark on durable and smooth paper which must be within four (4) and eight (8) centimeters either in width or in length;

– A certified copy of the priority document if priority right is claimed;

B – Renewal

– Notarized Power of Attorney. [Download]

– Copy of Certificate of Trademark Registration.

C – Change of Name and Address

– Notarized Power of Attorney. [Download] 

– Notarized Declaration of Change. [Download]

– Copy of Certificate of Trademark Registration

D – Obtain Duplicate of the Certificate

Filing Requirements in Cambodia

I. Required Information of Applicants

  1. Name of the applican

6. Goods and/or services (in accordance with WIPO’s International Classification); please indicate the goods/services of interest; 

7. International class(es); 

8. Convention priority: Application No., Filing date, country

II. Required Documents

A – Filing New Application

1. A Power of Attorney (POA), signed by the applicant and notarized in the applicant’s country in English or French to be submitted on the filing date. The general POA for one year is acceptable; [Download]

2. Twenty (20) prints of the trademark, which must be on durable and smooth paper and must not exceed eight (8) centimeters either in length or in width;

3. A certified copy of the priority document if the priority right claimed.
