Fake LV, Hermes bags valued at over 30 billion VND arrested

Customs Department of Saigon Port detected and inspected a container containing a large amount of fake and counterfeit items of famous brands such as LV, Gucci, Chanel, Hermes … valued at over 30 billion VND at Cat Lai Port.
On June 29, Anti-smuggling and protecting of intellectual property right control unit (Unit 4) – General Department of Vietnam Customs coordinated with Cat Lai Custom of the Customs Branch of Saigon Port Zone 1 and Border Post of Dragon Wharf Port (Ho Chi Minh city) informed that they have detected and inspected a container containing a large amount of fake and counterfeit items of famous brands at Cat Lai Port.
The shipment was transported from China and being transited at Cat Lai Port to be on the way to Cambodia. However, according to Dan Viet news, the shipment showed signs of seepage for consumption in Vietnam.
Earlier, on June 23, competent force also inspected a container with a lot of fake and counterfeit items valued about tens of billion VND. Competent authorities have been investigating this matter for more detailed.According to VnExpress, the container contains a variety of clothing; shoes; fashion accessories; handbags; phone components labeled such as Adidas, Gucci, Chanel, Hermes, and Apple, etc. which value at over 30 billion VND.
